TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The FacilityLive Graduate Programme starts with a training period during which you will encounter the real challenges faced by our core units

Our Back-End Unit follows a Test-Driven-Development approach (TDD) and spends everyday improving the capabilities of our platform, increasing its performance and tuning it for each project.
The Unit is always involved in the challenges posed by a platform based on a distributed architecture providing high scalability and reliability.

You will encounter:

  • Java Enterprise
  • NoSQL DB
  • The main application servers
  • Servlet Engine (Tomcat)
  • SQL e RDBMS (My SQL, Oracle etc.)

Our Front-End Unit is responsible for planning, developing and maintaining our patented interface that changes the way people access and interact with information.
They constantly scout new technologies, packages and frameworks and discuss new ideas to provide the best User Experience possible for the final user.

You will encounter:

  • JavaScript
  • JQuery
  • CSS3
  • HTML5

Our Q.A. Unit plays a key role in our internal structure. This Unit is both responsible for guaranteeing that everything works properly and for the overall performance of the whole architecture.

You will encounter:

  • Functional testing
  • Performance testing
  • Bug-tracking and reporting
  • Verification processes & tools
  • Test automation tools (e.g. Selenium)

Our Analysts Unit is the bridge between our Sales and Development Units. These Analysts design and develop the solutions for the customer needs, employing a wide set of both technical and soft skills. They have the overall view of the platform and of its future evolutions.

You will perform:

  • Requirements Elicitation and Needs Analysis
  • Functional and Non Functional Analysis
  • Building data relationships
  • Taxonomy organization
  • Prototyping using basic programming knowledge

Our DevOps unit is responsible for standardizing and automating the Software Lifecycle from early development stage up to production delivery.
This Unit is rarely present in Italian companies, but it’s paramount to allow significantly better product quality, reliable software releases, and enabling quick and reliable experimentation environments.

You will perform:

  • Build and evolve a cutting-edge Continuous Integration Toolchain
  • Master Apache Maven to automate software delivery, from code build to environment packaging
  • Use Ansible to orchestrate server and delivery software
  • Shift delivery architecture from Virtual machine do Docker container ecosystem

Our NetSec unit is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining an efficient, reliable and secure infrastructure.
Our patented technology needs to be protected from cyber attacks, today much more sophisticated, dangerous and frequent than before.

You will perform:

  • Vulnerability Assessments
  • Penetration testing activities
  • Network monitoring and alerting
  • Cyber defence
  • Ethical hacking

The role of a UX/UI designer combines visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction, with a clear understanding of usability, user-centered design and web standards.
The UX/UI designer unit is involved in strategic decisions, collaborating with Front-End developers and Analysts. The unit often collaborates also with the marketing & communication team and may be involved during off-site meeting with clients.

You will perform:

  • Creation of wireframes
  • Creation of functional prototypes
  • Definition of user interfaces and visual element
  • Massive usage of Photoshop, Illustrator and other visual design and wire-framing tools

At the end of this training period you will join the core Unit that fits you most
